Meet Dr. Stillmaker

There are times when our patients require surgery. Spays and neuters are performed on a regular basis.

We have a veterinary surgeon on staff who performs more complex operations as well as a team of specialists available for critical or unusual circumstances.

Before any surgical procedure is performed, we will review an estimate of expected costs with you so there are no surprises.

Rest assured that your pet will receive the best possible care here! Even our house cats watch over some of our patients! (We were so surprised to find Winnie the cat watching over Andrew's dog Roxy as she recovered from a dental procedure!)

Going home

Your pet is released after careful post-operative monitoring to ensure adequate mobility and cognitive function and to check for post-operative complications. Typically, our surgical patients are discharged between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Before surgery

  • We will review a written estimate with you ahead of time
  • Pre-anesthetic bloodwork helps us tailor anesthesia to your pet
  • Follow our fasting instructions the night before
  • Our team will call you after surgery with an update
